
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Yeomans.
Bill was born in Moncton, NB on July 11, 1935 to Mike and Lois Yeomans, their only child. Bill attended school in Moncton. He was also a boy soprano and sang in the church choir. He entered and won many contests, being named the best in New Brunswick.
At age 17 he joined the air force where he remained in communications for 25 years. Bill met Margaret Clinton whom he married on October 28, 1958, and together they had 3 children: Carol, Micheal and Christina. Following their separation Bill moved with their 3 children to Hines Creek, AB to be Postmaster. While living in Hines Creek, Bill met Agnes McKay whom he later married. Bill and Agnes moved to Fort Vermillion where Bill was Postmaster, and their son Thomas was born.
Bill retired and the family moved to an acreage by Spirit River, AB in 1992 where they resided until moving to Fairview, AB in the fall of 2018.
Bill is survived by his wife Agnes, 4 children, 5 stepchildren, 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, 1 stepdaughter, 1 grandson and 1 great granddaughter.
A gathering of friends took place August 26, 1:00pm, at Peace Valley Funeral Home in Fairview. Memorial donations may be made to Autism Alberta or a charity of your choice.
