Wilfred was born on April 24, 1945, in Grande Prairie to Adolf and Mary Peddy. He was the third youngest of nine children, two brothers and six sisters.
He took his schooling in Woking and Wanham. After school, he went to work in Whitehorse.
He later returned to Edmonton to work on his own. He worked for Ledcor for 25 years. Later he started his own business, Wilf Peddy Truck & Bobcat right up until his cancer got worse.
Wilf is survived by his loving wife, Donna; sons Kyle (Kaelee) and Wayne (Patty); daughters Caroline (Jamie), Shannon (Rob), and Veronica; sisters Reta Yuros, Dorothy Maciak, Joan Krefting (Art), Hilda Woitas (Reg); brother Harold Peddy (Ella); sister-in-law Rose Peddy; brothers-in-law Glenn Olsen and Edward Dolhan; brother-in-law Larry Lauder (Dawn); sister-in-law Debbie Lauder; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son Clinton Peddy; parents Adolf and Mary Peddy; Ron and Maxine Lauder; sisters Ruth Olsen and Gloria Dolhan; brother Lawrence Peddy; brothers-in-law Harry Yuros, Nick Maciak, and Murray Lauder.
Memorial donations can be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
At Wilfred’s request, there will be no funeral service.
