We also have our full AQP from ABSA with a Temper Bead Approved Weld Procedure and Section VIII (Pressure Vessel Repair).

It says on your website that your culture is safety. What safety training do you provide for your employees?
Maintaining a safe work environment and culture is ultra important to us. We systematically complete and manage employee training and certifications on a weekly basis. It is the forefront of everything we do. Something most companies don’t do that we have put a lot of time and energy into is training. This training is done in controlled environments at our shop and yard. We focus a lot on competencies for all practices, policies and procedures to ensure every person that works with us has a clear path to be successful.

Do you offer regular safety training meetings and updates?
We have daily safety bulletin updates that upload to everyone’s mobile device, a monthly safety committee and daily/monthly in-house safety meetings.

What made you decide to set up this type of business?
My background for the past 19 years is in the production and process side of the oil and gas industry. I quickly advanced at a young age with a young company pioneering the use of tools used for cleaning predominantly in the food industry, and I started growing my career in the industrial cleaning services. During that time, I always wondered why there wasn’t a company that could do it all. How we would wait for other service providers consistently because the planning and communication fell poorly was too much. There had to be a better solution, a company that could provide all the specialized fluid and mechanical equipment required, a company that has all the specialty tools, planning, techniques and – most importantly – people.

Solution Services is unique, and we have some of the industry’s best people with years of experience in all areas. We often speak about our team – how we approach everything is together in a team environment. Projects go smoother when everyone knows what team they are on and they understand everyone’s own positions. We showcase that on every project we successfully and safely complete on time and on budget.

Please tell us about your local connection.
We, at Solution, are all local to this area. I grew up on a farm north of Rycroft, went to school there and high school in Spirit River.

The community and surrounding areas hold a very special place in my heart, and giving back is a must. We are always looking for ways to support the communities, people and organizations. We consistently reach out and ask the question: can we help, and what can we do? Or, we are approached and find ways to give. As an example, we put a focus on children and Santa on our yearly Christmas Party with a fun outdoor activity. We hold a silent auction with donated items from our vendors and then match the total funds all to be given to charities.

When you are not working, what can you be found doing?
My time off is spent with my wife Josephine and working on our small farm. I do a lot of hunting, fishing and spending as much time outdoors.
