Ada Rae Dol died peacefully April 25, 2021 at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital. Rae was born May 25, 1948 in Lacombe, Alberta. Daughter of Irene and Martin Lattery. Rae lived and grew up in the Woking area.
Rae married Jacob Dol, they resided in the Hythe area. Rae and her husband enjoyed their life on the farm and were known for their collection of miniature animals. Rae had a passion for, and connection with, all kinds of animals. Animals innately trusted Rae, because of her kind, gentle nature. She loved her pets so much she even made daily pancakes for her dogs.
After her husband’s passing in 2004, Rae moved to the Hythe Pioneer Care Home. Rae thrived in this environment. She made fast friends with staff and residents alike. She always had a smile for everyone and loved to chat about everything. She enjoyed helping in any way possible. She loved to sing and shared her beautiful voice at the lodge and community functions. Rae was also able to develop her artistic skills at the lodge. She was proud to share her paintings with friends, family, hospital, firehall and community. She will be sadly missed at the family gatherings. She always brought so much joy and enthusiasm.
Rae was predeceased by her parents, husband Jake, brothers Gary, Victor and David Lattery. She will be mourned by her sisters Grace Sadownik and Jennifer Tarnowski, brother Glen Lattery as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Hythe Pioneer Care Home for all the years of care and kindness they provided; and for their role in ensuring the highest quality of life possible for Rae.
