Call goes out for 2021 Community Group Funding applications

Applications are now open for the latest cycle of Community Group Funding.

The funding is available for community groups or agencies that provide programs and services that benefit residents and the community.

Funding is based on approved budget resources and recommendations for funding allocation are based on community need and the ability of community groups to respond to that need.

For the Community Group Funding cycle for 2021, the City has categorized funding based on Council’s Strategic Objectives as follows:

  • Community: Groups/agencies that foster connections among people through socially inclusive programs and services with a diverse offering of cultural and recreational opportunities.
  • Economy: Groups/agencies that contribute to a healthy economy and advance economic growth for business and the community.
  • Safety: Groups/agencies that undertake protective measures to respond and protect the community from harm and provide a safe and healthy community.
  • Enhancement: Groups/agencies that contribute to quality of life and enhance the livability of the community.

Grants for 2021 are provided on a one-year budget cycle.

Applications are available by searching “Community Group Funding” at cityofgp.com/funding. Deadline to apply is May 22.
