3 recovered, 5 active cases in Grande Prairie

One person in the County of Grande Prairie who tested positive earlier for COVID-19 has recovered, but four cases remain active. In the City of Grande Prairie, two cases have recovered, and one case remains active.

Throughout the North Zone – which lumps together Grande Prairie, the Central Peace and surrounding areas – two cases were identified in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 137.

The number of people in Alberta who tested positive for COVID-19 and recovered has reached 1,162, up 38 from yesterday. The newest tally for recovered cases represents about 45% of the current 2,562 province-wide active cases. A total of 165 new cases were identified in the past 24 hours in Alberta, with one death reported in the Calgary Zone.

Of the total 2,562 cases, 57 are in hospital – down three from yesterday’s 60 – with 14 admitted in intensive care units.

Fifty-one people have died from COVID-19 across the province.
