Donna Faye Boucher of Chase BC passed away quietly in the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on May 9, 2018 after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Donna was born in Marysville BC on November 20, 1940 to the late Jim and Irene (Sieffert) Hale. She was married to Roland Boucher in 1958 and the couple had five children. The family lived in several communities in central Alberta before taking up a homestead in Silver Valley where they lived for many years. Donna and Rolly moved to the Kamloops area in 2013 to be closer to family.
Donna was a skilled and creative seamstress and quilter and until shortly before her death she could be found working contentedly at her sewing machine or quilting frame. All the family have treasured pieces of Donna’s work.Donna’s warmth, generous spirit and kind heartedness were an inspiration and comfort to all who knew her.
Donna leaves her husband: Rolly, sons: Ron and Robin, brother: Jim Hale, sister: Holly Pitman, and grandchildren: Lee, Cory, Andre, Riela, Allison and Grant.
She is predeceased by twin sons: Daniel and David, daughter: Roxann, and her parents: Jim and Irene.
The family wishes to thank residents and staff at Parkside retirement home in Chase for the thoughtful care and comfort they provided for Donna during her last months.
