Clayton Douglas White (Sept. 1, 2017)

Clayton Douglas White, 62, of Whitehorse, Yukon, passed on September 1st of this year. He is preceded in death by his father Lindsey, and his brother Clifford. He is survived by his mother Irene; sister Valerie (Keller); brothers Richard and Shane; sons Jason, Jody, and Jared; and grandsons Spencer, Kaleb, Rylan, and Silas.

Clayton was born and raised in Spirit River, and in 1979 moved his family to the Yukon. An avid outdoorsman, who volunteered many hours with the Yukon Fish and Game Association, Canada Wildlife Federation, and Youth Outdoor Education Camps. For the last 20 years, he has used his passion and knowledge of the outdoors to make a living, running his own outfitting company, Cedar and Canvas Adventures. Clayton spent the last several weeks surrounded by loving family, sharing stories and laughs and hugs.

The burial of Clayton’s ashes will be at the Spirit River Cemetery on October 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The family will be gathering for refreshments at Mikie’s Wheel Inn in Rycroft after the service, and welcome friends of Clayton’s to join for refreshments.
